§ 1. General Provisions
- These Terms of Service govern the use of the SkillSphere online educational platform, operated by SkillSphere Learning Inc. By creating an account and using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
- The platform is intended for individuals who are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction. Use of the platform by minors is prohibited without parental consent.
- We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of any significant changes, and your continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
- These terms and any dispute arising from them shall be governed by the laws of the province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
§ 2. Definitions
- Platform – The SkillSphere website and its related services, accessible via the internet.
- User – Any natural person who creates an account and uses the services provided by the Platform.
- Account – The personalized profile created by a User to access the Platform's services.
- Services – All educational content, tools, and features offered through the Platform, including articles, guides, and community forums.
- Regulations – This document, the Terms of Service.
§ 3. Type and Scope of Services Provided
- SkillSphere provides access to educational content focused on life skills. Services are offered under different plans, including a free Basic plan and paid subscription plans (Pro, Enterprise) with additional features and content as described on our Pricing page.
- The scope of services available to a User depends on their selected plan. We reserve the right to modify the features and content of any plan at any time.
- All content provided on the Platform, including text, graphics, and other materials, is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.
- Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform's content for personal, non-commercial purposes.
§ 4. Technical Requirements
- To use the Platform, a User must have a device with access to the internet and a modern web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) with JavaScript and cookies enabled.
- The User is responsible for ensuring their device meets these technical requirements and for any costs associated with internet access.
- We do not guarantee that the Platform will be free from errors or interruptions, but we will make reasonable efforts to ensure its availability.
§ 5. Rights and Obligations of the User
- The User agrees to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep this information updated. The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account password.
- The User agrees not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm the Platform or other users. This includes refraining from posting offensive or infringing content.
- The User retains ownership of any content they post in community forums but grants SkillSphere a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with the operation of the Platform.
- The User may terminate their account at any time. Termination does not entitle the User to a refund for any subscription fees already paid, except as required by law.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a User's account for any violation of these terms without prior notice.
§ 6. Final Provisions
- If any provision of these Regulations is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. The failure to enforce any right or provision will not be considered a waiver.
- Any notices or other communications provided by SkillSphere under these Terms will be given via email or by posting on the Platform.
